Sessions and Fees

Our Opening Hours are 8am to 6pm, 52 weeks of the year. (closed 0/1/2 days at both Christmas and New Year)

Eligible 2 year olds and 3/4 year olds can use their Funded (free) hours here (see below)

Full day - £58.00 ( 8am till 6pm)

Half day - £29.00 ( 8am till 1pm) or (1pm to 6pm) (We are no longer able to offer half days to new enquires on a regular basis, however half days maybe available as an ADHOC/ extra session)

Registration is free

Extra sessions - can be booked as required, as long as we have a space (normal session cost)

Additional hours - are charged at £6.00 (either added on to half day session or stand alone when there is a 3 hrs minimum)

We allow free swaps - so if the day you have booked does not suit one week due to family/work commitments you can swap to a different day that week, free of charge, as long as we have a place. We are the only nursery in Fife to do this.

Free settling in sessions - (as many as needed) are provided to make sure your child feels comfortable being left with us.

Fees are payable weekly or monthly in advance.

You will receive a calendar monthly invoice (there will four / 5 week months)

Regular photos of your child

Graduation (Garden Party)

Home Link Book or (for 3years +) PLJ and emailed Daily Diary

Funded Provision

(1140 HOURS FREE)

We are a Funded Provider with Fife Council which means that children aged 3-5 years and eligible 2 year olds can use all or some of their 1140 hours at Smart Cookies. This can save parents up to £6612.00 per year on fees.

The 1140 hours equate to 22 hrs per week 52 weeks per year at Smart Cookies

Other Ways to Reduce your Nursery Fees

This can be rather confusing and we are happy to help.  Most parents are eligible for some form of support.

Tax Free Childcare www.direct.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare

 If you are eligible, for every £8 you pay into this childcare account, the Government will add an additional £2. This will save approx. £600.00 per year for each day attended. (saving 20% or £9.40 per full day)   

Universal Credits

This depends on your income. It can be up to 85% of fees – at this level a day’s fees ( £58) would cost you £8.70

Childcare Tax Credits www.direct.gov.uk/taxcredits

This depends on your income. It can be up to 70% of fees – at this level a day’s fees (£58) would cost you £17.40  This is being replaced by Universal Credits                        

Childcare Voucher Scheme

This is no longer open to new members.  If you are a member you can continue to transfer £243 per calendar month to the scheme (before tax and NI being deducted) current saving approx.. £933 per year, per parent.
